My take-away lasagne and salad from Franco’s on Rivington Street. I got introduced to the place when I was working down here last spring and it hasn’t changed whatsoever. It looks like a standard glass cabineted London sandwich shop with a few tables in the back, but for a damn cheap and nice lunch (especially the big pasta dishes) I really like it. It’s fully Italian and the tiny kitchen bristles with intense but somehow well co-ordinated activity. There’s normally a queue.
